Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes! (and Relay for Life)

I have a few quick announcements to make regarding some changes and some events that we have coming up. Firstly, due to some technical errors, we have reverted back to our original class management system. The name of the system is Jackrabbit, there are a number of benefits to the change. The biggest benefit to the change in system is that everyone will now have a family account which combines all invoices into a total amount. Another benefit will be the in-built skill tracker so that you are able to see your childs progression and easily find out when it is time for them to move up a class.

Secondly, due to the change in CMS we also have a new website. The address is still the same (www.invertgymnastics.com.au) but the layout is completely new and it is also SSL certified, so those of you who were having trouble accessing the website due to firewall rejection should no longer have that problem. 90% of the website has been completed, including the important parts, being the classes and the online registration. I just need to finalise the Calendar/Events page and add a News page so keep an eye out for those over the next few days.

Finally, we will once again be participating in Relay for Life on the 2nd and 3rd of November. This is something that we have been participating in for many years now and I believe is a fantastic event in our community which raises an amazing amount of money for the Cancer Council. You are able to register or donate to the Invert Gymnastics team via the Relay for Life website or through a direct link to the Goulburn Relay which is https://www.cancercouncil.org.au/relayforlife/events/it0000951/. We walk every year because Cancer is a horrible disease that affects so many people, whether directly or indirectly almost everyone has been affected by cancer in one way or another.

This year we are looking like we will have a decent sized team of people camping out and staying for the entire event. Anyone who would like to walk with the team is able to do so and it is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get together and for the kids to hang out with their friends outside the gym. You are also able to just come down for a short time and support the team. We are also going to be participating in the team dress-ups that a lot of teams do, our team will be dressing in 80s attire, most of us will be wearing 80s tracksuits.

If you would like any clarification about any of these points or if you would like more information about the Relay for Life team please do not hesitate to ask.
